Mission & vision
Rooted in Christ. Called to shine.
Inspired by Matthew 5:14–15, we want our life together to reflect the love of Jesus in Hartford and beyond.
Our mission
To know God, grow in faith, and share His love with the world.
Our name comes from Matthew 5:14–15. Jesus describes His followers as a visible city on a hill and a lamp that gives light to a home. We believe His love is meant to be seen in the way we live. Through worship, growing faith, and everyday acts of compassion, we seek to reflect Christ and point people to Him.
Our vision
His light in every part of life.
We long to see people encounter Jesus, families grow in faith, and our neighbors experience His love. Empowered by the Holy Spirit, we carry the hope of Christ into our homes, workplaces, schools, and community, in Hartford and wherever God leads us.

What we believe
Rooted in Scripture. Led by the Spirit.
Our faith is centered on Jesus and grounded in God’s Word. These convictions guide how we worship, care for one another, and share His love with the world.
Read All 15 BeliefsWe believe the Bible is the inspired Word of God, a revelation from God to humanity. It is trustworthy, without error in its original writings, and the final authority in all matters of faith and conduct.
We believe there is one true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things and worthy of all worship.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and is now exalted at the right hand of God.
