of Beliefs.
At Light to the World Church, our beliefs are rooted in the Bible as the inspired and authoritative Word of God. The following statements summarize the core doctrines that guide our faith, teaching, and mission:

Our foundation
We believe there is one true God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. He is the Creator of all things and worthy of all worship.
We believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God, fully divine and fully human. He was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, performed miracles, died on the cross for our sins, rose bodily from the dead, and is now exalted at the right hand of God.
We believe humanity was created good and upright but fell into sin through disobedience. As a result, all people are separated from God and in need of salvation.
We believe salvation is a gift of God received through repentance and faith in Jesus Christ. Through His death and resurrection, we are forgiven, made new, and restored to a right relationship with God.
Our life in Christ
We practice two ordinances:
- Water Baptism by immersion as a public declaration of faith in Jesus Christ.
- Holy Communion as a remembrance of Christ’s sacrifice (the Breaking of Bread).
We believe in the baptism in the Holy Spirit (with the evidence of speaking in tongues) as an experience distinct from salvation, empowering believers for bold witness and effective service, often accompanied by spiritual gifts.
We believe a Spirit-filled life is demonstrated through a growing relationship with God, Christlike character, and the operation of spiritual gifts for the building up of the Church.
We believe sanctification is both an initial act at salvation and an ongoing process of becoming more like Christ through the work of the Holy Spirit.
Our church & mission
We believe the Church is the body of Christ, called to worship God, build up believers, and share the gospel with the world. Our mission is to be a light—bringing hope, truth, and love to our community and beyond.
We believe God calls and equips leaders to serve the Church through preaching, teaching, shepherding, and equipping others for ministry.
We believe God still heals today through the power of Jesus Christ. Healing is provided in Christ’s atonement and is available through prayer and faith.
Our eternal hope
We believe in the imminent return of Jesus Christ for His Church, which inspires holy living and faithful service.
We believe there will be a final judgment for all people. Those who have accepted Christ will live eternally with God, and those who have rejected God will face eternal separation from Him in hell.
We believe God will create a new heaven and a new earth where righteousness dwells, and where believers will live forever in His presence.
