Who we are
A church family called to shine.
Founded in 2010 through prayer and fellowship, Light to the World Church is a Spirit-filled, family-oriented church in Hartford, South Dakota. Together, we shine the light of Christ in our community and beyond.
Our story
From home gatherings to a church home.
2010 · Our beginnings
Light to the World Church was founded in 2010, beginning as a small group of believers gathering in one another’s homes for prayer and fellowship. As the group grew, it soon outgrew living rooms, creating the need for a larger space to worship together.
Growing together
A few dedicated brothers came together to find a solution and reached out to Westminster Presbyterian Church, who graciously opened their doors to host the gatherings. From that partnership, Light to the World Church was officially established.
June 2021 · A new chapter
In June 2021, God opened a new chapter for our congregation as we purchased our own building in Hartford, South Dakota. Since then, our members have faithfully volunteered their time and talents to remodel the facility.
May 2025 · Grand Opening
We celebrated the Grand Opening of our new church home in May 2025, continuing our mission to shine the light of Christ in our community and beyond.
